Kleon besticht durch seine Einfachheit und leicht zu verstehndes Englisch.Einfach ist für mich oft doppelt gemeint.Im positiven Sinne einfach: Einfach zu verstehen. Vielleicht sogar einfach nachzumachen. "genial einfach".Aber auch im negativen Sinne einfach: Einfach gestrickt. Nicht sehr tiefgründig.Das schöne an Kleon ist, dass ich den Eindruck habe, er denkt sich seine Thesen nicht wiklich aus, sondern vermittelt das, womit er selbst Erfolg hat. Er formuliert seine Erfahrungen in einfach zu handhabende "Regeln". Insofern ist es für mich ein Ratgeber, der auf Erfahrungen basiert - so sollte aus meiner Sicht ein Ratgeber auch sein.Und hey - man muss ja nicht alles übernehmen, es ist "nur" ein Ratgeber, kein Gesetzbuch.Erwartungsgemäß hat es mir nicht so gut gefallen wie "Steal like an Arist". Aber es ist die konsequente weiterführung seiner Arbeit. Ich hätte mir seine Ausführungen etwas weniger "hingeklatscht" gewünscht, daher ziehe ich einen Punkt ab.
Half of the book consists of simple graphics, Half of it is content. Since the book is very small, that means, if this book is in normal size, the content is only roughly a few pages.And most of the content is just quoting other writers' saying. I would say, this books is a sample of how to ''Steal like an Artist'' which is his previous book. I think he cheapens the concept of creativity just by the title of it.Mr Kleon say creativitiy is just collecting a few idea and then remix it and then it becomes something new. I completely don't agree with it.I will never buy the his book again.
Auf den ersten Blick fand ich es ein dünnes Büchlein - sehr amerikanisch, mit vielen Satz-Botschaften.Das war zumindest der erste Eindruck.Aber beim Lesen hat es sich dann doch als sehr wertvoller und inspirierender Ratgeber erwiesen,aus dem ich viele gute Anregungen erhalten - und auch umgesetzt - habe.Ich schaue auch immer mal wieder rein und lese nach...
Klasse. Wie erwartet. Alle Texte leicht zu verstehen.As expected. Fantastic. You don't have to be a Genius! Don't want to miss. :)
Nach "Steal like an Artist", das ich schon sehr gut fand, nun das zweite von A. Kleon. Und wieder finde ich das sehr gelungen. Die Zitate finde ich inspirierend. Für schüchterne Künstler unbedingte Pflichtlektüre.
..., die Umsetzung und Begründung mit einer kruden Zitatesammlung miserabel. Ein Künstler sollte tatsächlich prüfen, ob eine auf sein Werk und seine Fähigkeiten bezogene eifersüchtige Isolation droht und generell muß jeder Kreative für sich entscheiden, wie er in einer Welt des inflationären Zeigewillens sein eigenes Portfolio aufstellt. Als Denkanstoß reicht aber der Untertitel des Buches, spätestens die Leseprobe aus, denn der Autor war leider zu faul, seine These über das Format eines Online-Artikels hinaus aufzubereiten.
Ein großartiges Buch. Habs mir gekauft nachdem ich "Steal like an Artist" vom gleichen Autor gelesen habe und es hat mich genau so motiviert wie der 1. Teil. Er bringt die Dinge auf den Punkt ohne ewig um den heißen Brei zu reden und hat sehr viel Wissen und gute Tipps in diese 10 Punkte zusammengefasst. Kann ich nur jedem Kreativen empfehlen.
' und er ist der Auffassung, dass erst 'Geben' kommt bevor 'Nehmen' möglich ist. Auch die Möglichkeit, kreative Ideen auf diesem Weg schnell zu proben, beschreibt er. Das man sich dazu ein Netzwerk aufbauen muss, empathisch vorgehen soll und eine Story zu seinen Ideen zurechtlegen muss, ist sehr einleuchtend.
