Bloß, kann man den Stoizismus heute noch leben? Wie? Aus welchem Impetus heraus verfasste der Lehrer Neros - der im gesicherten "Luxus" lebte - die anspruchsvollen Lebensregeln, die Gelassenheit, Bescheidenheit und politische Mäßigung "predigten"? Ein herrliches Buch mit unfassbar vielen Bezügen zur heutigen Zeit - leider fehlt dem schön gemachten Band ein Register für die Namen und Stichworte (insofern ist es kein Nachschlagewerk, was es durchaus für alle Lebenslagen hätte sein können).
